EXCELLENT
Me and my friend travelled with Kiwi Experience and we simply loved it! It is a great way to discover as much of New Zealand in a month and meeting other backpackers!

Van was terrible. To start with not even legal.
We had to change our plans on 5 separate occasions to get problems with the van fixed. The van was not well maintained. Loved the mobile home for touring NZ without being tied to a schedule.

Poor quality of camper, full of dents, waste smash
Camper full of dents yet 3 years old Waste connection stuck under van, very hard access to get to, windscreen had cello tape over drivers side rubber to seal. The Customer Service was poor compared to last hire..

So much fun!!
Bought my pass the night before. Set off to an adventure, met so many friends and did the coolest things. Skydive, heli hike, sailing, hobbiton, lugeing and the tongariro crossing were some of the real highlights of the trip!

Brilliant experience
I bought the whole kit and caboodle ticket in December and I went on my trip at the end of February. I didn’t get much of a chance to do much research or look into the experience (I was exceptionally unorganised). The kiwi experience sort everything out! From the bus drivers to the team in the office I cannot fault them for their help! It was so easy to organise my days, activities and accommodation. It was such a fantastic experience and I saw so much more of New Zealand than I had expected. So glad I did it and would recommend it to anyone going to NZ for the first time.

Wasn’t for me
Perhaps would recommend for a young new traveler with very limited time in New Zealand who wants to pay to do lots of activities and doesn’t notice all the stuff they’re missing out on. For me I wish I had just spent the money on a car. I liked getting dropped off directly at hostels, and the info about New Zealand and the towns from the drivers. I liked the pit stops at hikes and waterfalls, but never felt I had enough time to enjoy them. I barely met people bc every time I stayed an extra day somewhere there was a new group of people to meet who already all new each other. Be careful if you’re in a time constraint.. They don’t tell you that if you try to spend an extra night somewhere all the buses might be full and you’ll get stuck in the town until one opens up. Also, don’t let anyone make you feel like you’re missing out if you don’t do certain paid activities.

The perfect way to spend a month in NZ
It has been an amazing journey to drive through New Zealand with Kiwi Experience. The drivers are genius and they truly love their job and country. We’ve met so many lovely people on our trip, who we probably wouldn’t have known if it wasn’t for Kiwi. The different buspasses are made so that we get to see the most and best of both the north- and south island. And the nature is just breathtaking!!!! Kiwi has my warmest recommendations..
