Providing the ultimate hop-on hop-off adventure for 30-plus years, Kiwi Experience takes you to iconic spots, offering the safety net of a guided tour mixed with the flexibility to do New Zealand your way!
1. CHOOSE YOUR PASS
Select from a range of passes, take in the North Island or South Island of New Zealand or book a national pass to tick all off the must do! We have a pass to match your travel time, budget, and interests in the budget list.
2. CUSTOMIZE YOUR ADVENTURE
There are so many ways to do New Zealand! But there is only one way to do it your way. To start planning your trip, login into the Trip Planner (your unique login details will be in your booking confirmation), and use the Bus Timetables to help you book your buses. Plan and pre-book your buses if you are travelling over the summer (December – March). Seats are always subject to availability.
3. BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATION
To allow for ultimate flexibility, accommodation is not included in the price of your bus pass. The Trip Planner makes it simple to pre-book and pay for your accommodation while travelling on the bus. You must book your accommodation by 7am two days before arrival at each overnight location. Book your accommodation directly with the hostel if you're staying longer at a destination than on the bus. You always have the option to book your own accommodation outside of Kiwi Experience. Please note that the Kiwi Experience bus will only pick up and drop off from the accommodation on the trip planner.
4. BOOK YOUR ACTIVITIES
Once you’ve decided on your itinerary and accommodation, log into your Trip Planner and check out our activities. From whale watching to bungy jumping, surfing to skydiving, no two days are the same when you travel with Kiwi Experience across New Zealand. Pre-book via the Trip Planner advance or book on the road. *Subject to availability, some activities may be impacted by weather conditions.
5. HOP ON THE BUS
Climb aboard the big green bus at your agreed pick-up point and meet your travel crew of like-minded travellers from across the globe. Check out our scheduled pick-up points and timetables.
6. MEET YOUR DRIVER GUIDE
Brimming with local insight and passion for New Zealand, our driver guides will act as your travel wingperson along the journey.
7. EXPERIENCE WHAT YOU WANT WHEN YOU WANT
Our Hop-On-Hop-Off travel network allows you to pre-plan your stops and change your plans as often as you like. Just manage your bus bookings from the Trip Planner.
