Great Time!

My boyfriend and I booked this trip back late 2018. It was the very first thing we booked as part of a 14 month backpacking trip. We had a few drivers on the Kiwi buses, but out of them all Toddy was the best. We had such a good laugh with Toddy! He was never horrible to anyone, even when some of the people on our bus were just there to get drunk every night and not listen to where we were going next, he would just carry on explaining. I did say to some people to be quiet as i couldn't hear myself. ------------------------------------------------------------- **Message for Toddy ** Sorry we didn't say bye! Really enjoyed the experience apart from hostels

Really enjoyed the tour, unfortunately we couldn’t make it to Franz Josef as the bridge washed away but that nature! Just hated every time we went to the hostel knowing we would have to queue for 30mins to an hour!

Bad smell in the car

So much bad smell since we started In certain and sofa it's not clear

What a trip!

Had the absolute time of my life doing Kiwi. I made so many new friends, did things and saw things I never thought possible. My driver, Stretch, was an absolute gem and made each bus ride fun with his tunes. He was more like a mate than a member of staff by the end. I would say it would be nice to have unlimited WiFi on the bus - the limit doesn’t make much sense to me. Also there were places like Westport where I would reconsider stopping. We didn’t want to surf so there wasn’t really anything else to do and the hostel was ok but quite damp. Regardless, that didn’t detract from my time with Kiwi and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Awesome experience

My friend & I bought The Whole Kit and Caboodle bus pass in hopes of getting an in-depth experience of the entirety of New Zealand. We were surprised at how smoothly the process runs, the knowledge of the guides and the extra stops made along the way to destinations that meant we saw so much more of the country than we expected.

Great experience with only one hiccup

I had such a great time with kiwi experience. The bus drivers were all super friendly and the whole system works really smoothly. The only problem was I booked on to the Milford sounds trip and my driver took my money and never booked me onto the trip. They did sort it out in the end but I reckon a receipt system so you have proof that’s you have payed when you pay in cash would be a great idea as my main problem was I couldnt prove I had payed.

The experience far exceeds my expectations

A friend recommended me this to know almost all NZ in few time and meet a lot of people from different parts of the world

My experience in an Ultima Plus Mercedes Sprinter

Loved your country. Wonderful, mind blowing scenery, great people, pods of Hector's Dolphins in Okain's Bay, Orakei Korako Geyser Taupo, seals with pups (plus some pups bleating for their mothers who were off in the ocean hunting), Kiwis - the list goes on. Rotorea Mitai Maori Village, camping and tramping in DOC Parks, the list is endless. A big shout out to NZ truck drivers - the best, most considerate in the world.

A bit less comfortable than I expected A few items that didn't work very well

Great experience!

Really loved it very sociable was a bit worried about waiting lists and was waitlisted for a bit but they put an extra bus on which was great! Wish there was a bit more info in the uk about it e.g. info pac explaining clipboards and how it works had great drivers
