Great van - Customer service could be improved
We hired a Brit’s camper for an 11 day period out of CHCH. On arrival, we were seated then assisted by a THL staff member who smelt strongly of alcohol. After completing the required paper work, we were them advised our camper was not ready and while we were kept updated, we waited approximately 2 hours for the van to be ready. Once we received the camper, the interior had been cleaned but the exterior was extremely dirty. We then began and trip only to discover the van had an overpowering smell (curry or similar?). On ringing the on road assistance line, the representative was cheerful but did say “oh no, that’s awful!” Them told that we could either return the van to chch or continue on to Queenstown where the customer service team could determine how offensive the smell was. We ultimately decided to attempt to air the van wherever possible and put up with the smell which eventually dissipated. We had an issue with the GPS unit which was promptly replaced in Queenstown but we found one of the seatbelts has been replaced when we initially collected the van and it had been fitted with a twist making it less effective and uncomfortable for the driver. We asked if we could possibly get this sorted at Queenstown but told we would have to book an appmt and wait. We had already made reservations for that day so we we’re not in a position to wait. While aspects of the van were good - reliable, easy to use etc. we felt the service offered was found wanting on more then one occasion.

Kiwis on Northland tour
A great way to travel around Northland, our Britz Adventure plus was perfect for 2 people. Everything was easy to handle.

to 4 across the country
6 weeks we traveled with our 2 small children across New Zealand. Every day we spontaneously decide where to go and a camper is the perfect place to travel with children. We rode from march to april, with it towards the end, the nights were already quite cool. We have seen many beautiful corners have met nice people and admired many animals.

Electric - the way to go?
Had a great time trying out the eVolve. Took it to Tekapo and Mt Cook. Nice to drive and can cover 120kms before recharging. So drive for two hours then charge for two hours. Will be a more practical option when the range is longer.

Fab month in NZ
The kiwi pass allows you to see all of New Zealand without the hassle of driving. I had the kitchen sink pass and it had everything I needed. Some of the drivers were a bit inappropriate and creepy but others were fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the kiwi bus

Favourite travel choice
Our Camper was our home on wheels for the 3 weeks we hired it. It was perfect for everything we needed and was so enjoyable to have, we enjoyed the flexibility to explore both island of New zealand!

Really good time
Such a great way to explore the country in a short space of time. You don’t just get driven from A to B you stop off at national parks and view points along the way
