Kiwi experience

I loved the kiwi experience. I met so many people and made friends for life. The bus showed us great places and everything was perfectly organized. Couple of tips: the hostels are really expensive. There are much more cheaper hostels with the same value.

Loved it!

I wanted to rent a car, but chose the kiwi experience instead. I'm so glad I did. I met so many people and made loads of great friends that I've continued to travel with after New Zealand! I would recommend it to anyone wanting to backpack around the country.

Best experience ever

Booked this trip not knowing if I would end up meeting loads of people or how it would work out, but I ended up only having a one regret of not staying longer!

Best 6 Weeks of My Life!

As a lone traveller this was the best possible way to get around NZ! The bus route is really comprehensive and I got to see so many places I would have struggled to get to on my own! Most people I met were lone travellers so its a really inclusive atmosphere and everyone gets along together which is great! The drivers all are so friendly and knowledgeable it takes away all the stress of logistics planning and gives you tons of cool information about NZ! The bus makes stops in great places between overnight destinations which breaks up the journeys so you never feel bored or stuck in the bus and you get to see even more of the country! Kiwi also guarantees you a bed in a nice hostel each night you arrive at a stop which again makes things so much easier, although you're totally free to book your own place too if you want! The discounts Kiwi offers on all the activities are also great and those savings really help and add up when you're on the road for while! Personal highlights were the Tamaki Overnight Maori Village Experience in Rotorua, Nevis Bungy jump in Queenstown and the beautiful scenery / acccomodatuon in River Valley! There is literally something for everyone! Cannot recommend enough, I saw the whole country top to bottom, made some amazing friends and it was easily the best 6 weeks of my life!

Mixed Feelings

I only recommend it to people who do not want to plan anything themselves. You lose a lot of flexibility with it and you feel like you have to stick to the route. I would like to have more flexibility and would wish to have an online booking service for your busses ( should be possible with today's technology) and not old school mail or phone.

Awesome experience, would recommend to anyonr

I traveled with the Kiwi Ex for 5 weeks with the Whole Kit and Caboodle Pass. Whilst pricey the activities that I chose to do were unforgettable and well worth it. The people I met and the places we traveled where great. I recently read an online article of "best places to see in NZ" and we'd visited all but one. My reasons for not giving 5 stars is because I feel like in some accommodations/activities the Kiwi Experience were seemed bullied on the business end and were in a position where they should have been able to easily negotiate a better deal for the Kiwi travelers. I also think that it can be unfair to travelers who have new bus drivers. Having experiences both new and experienced drivers the difference between the two is remarkable. The experience drivers really help with information and building up hype whilst some of the newer drivers missed out a lot of key information. I would also change the accommodation at Abel Tasman. I leave this negative feedback for the Kiwi Ex to consider. For people considering traveling with Kiwi Ex you should definitely do it. They are several negatives amongst an ocean of positives

Good experience!

I bought the ticket in the beginning of September very spontaneously. Because of this I was really sceptic, but travelling with Kiwi was a good adventure. I saw a lot of places which I haven't seen without Kiwi.

Once In A Lifetime

When I purchased the kiwi experience pass I had no idea how much fun munch time in NZ would actually be. It was an awesome way to see the country, being able to enjoy your time in every stop packed with activities and not dealing with the hassle of transportation and booking your own accommodation. I enjoyed every bit of the experience all the way from the top to the bottom of the country.

Great opportunity but very touristy

It is great to see a lot of things in a short time. But of course it is always very touristy.. Another negativ part is, that in some places you really have to do the things Kiwi Experience offers, because otherwise there is not much to do. And in
