Good experience
I bought this in March last year and arrived in January. I chose this company because of their hop-on, hop-off flexibility and my 4 month period being here. I found it was not as flexible as advertised, leaving me moving along sooner than I would've preferred and stressing over staying extra nights without a hostel. Overall, it gets to great locations and the bus drivers are good but should be noted how long days on the bus are, as well as the limited flexibility during busy season.

Best way toget to know NZ in short period of time!
We decided to take the kiwi bus because we only had 6 weeks for both islands of New Zealand. It's probably the best and easiest way to see most of the places in a short period of time. Especially when you are traveling on your own you get to know lots of people from different countries. You are never alone! Another good thing is that you have the opportunity to do some beautiful walks durings breaks.

Great!
I did kiwi experience for a month and met so many amazing people it was great. You bond so quickly as you're on the bus with them all the time, and have such fantastic experiences shared

The best experience of my life!
I booked this trip through Kilroy and I'm so happy they recommended Kiwi experience for me! I saw and experienced so much in 19 days that it's hard to even remember everything - and that's a positive problem! All the bookings were smooth to make, reasonable priced and totally worth of the money. Listening to our driver's amazing playlist while watching the scenery from bus window made even the long drives easy. I think everyone should do this even once in the lifetime. I would do it again.

It's the people that make it great
New Zealand is one of those places you just can't get enough of and Kiwi Experience will take you to some of the most incredible places you've ever been. But it is the people on the bus that will make you remenber this trip for the rest of your life. From the very first day until the very last I met some of the best people I will ever meet. My only issues with the trip was that after a while it almost felt like a school trip with people forming into different groups instead of being just one big happy group (but I guess that's natural). My other issue is that almost all of the recommended hostels were dry hostels which make drinking very expensive.

Easiest way to travel!
Traveling with the kiwi bus is a great experience and really easy as well since you book everything with your driver on the go.

Adventure of a lifetime!
I bought my pass 3 weeks after arriving in NZ on a working holiday visa and spent 5 weeks touring both islands. I can honestly say that it's been the best experience of my life and I've met so many incredible new friends from around the world who've made the trip as amazing as it was! They're a really great company who do a sick job of taking care of you and advising you on all the best spots and activities to do around the islands! Hopping on and off the bus couldn't be any easier and I loved that the bus stopped at every great photo opportunity along the way without rushing to destinations! I'm gutted that my trip has come to an end but looking forward to hopping back on when my friends from home come across!

A good tour if it's your first time in NZ
I had such a good time on Kiwi Ex & met so many new people including friends who I hope to have for life! If it's your first time in NZ it takes some of the worry away of how you will get around & more importantly, where you'll even go. It's not the cheapest but it's a convenient way to get around the country and gives you the safety of being in a group with a reputable travel company, if you're worried about that (i.e. Females travelling alone). They should explain better that "minimum time" really means MINIMUM time. You don't arrive in some destinations until after 5pm & then get back on the bus the following morning (Wellington) leaving you no time to see or do anything. Fortunately I wasn't on minimum time but felt bad for those who were & didn't realise how little time they had in several places. I also didn't know about the optional stops on the route until half way through my trip & the fact that the Northbound bus only stops in places you had already seen when going south. In hindsight I would have ended my route in Christchurch instead of heading back up to Auckland. The drivers are (usually) hilarious & super knowledgable. They've done most of the activities themselves so give good advice. Martin & Diesel were my faves! Don't expect luxury at the hostels Kiwi Ex chooses for you, they cost more than they're worth.
