A great way to see New Zealand
Following purchasing the Whole kit and Caboodle I didn’t know what to expect. I had my worries but following completing my time on the bus, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time! Great information, pleanty to do and see in a short amount of time. For someone that didn’t have anything organised at all! Other than flight and bus ticket! I have done so much and knackered myself out but great fun for being able to see so much and do so much. I’ve never done something like this before and enjoyed the expereience.

Great option for solo travellers
I was a little nervous before I did kiwi experience as at 27 I was concerned I would be much older than everyone. In the end this wasn’t the case at all! If you’re up for meeting new people, having fun and doing plenty of activities then kiwi is going to be amazing for you!

Really good experience
I had a lot of fun on my journey around the north island. It was so easy to sign up for activities and the bus was really convenient.

Didn't live up to the hype
Booked the Kiwi Experience tour after being told by many people that it was a fantastic company. However, my experience was not quite the same. Me and a friend booked onto the Northern Express tour, which I am not sure if it is new but none of the bus drivers knew about it and we constantly had to get in touch with your office because of this. We also had to book onto extra tours because it didn't incorporate Hobbiton or the Glow Worm Caves, which are the two activities that are associated with the North Island. Once we had added on these activities, we found out that we were overcharged through the office and could have got a better deal on the bus. Luckily you guys swiftly sorted out that issue. Overall, I wouldn't say that I didn't enjoy my time with Kiwi Experience. I just think there are things that need to be improved before it can live up to the expectations associated with the brand.

Amazing
Definitely one of the best part of my travels, met an amazing group of people travelled both north and South Island with barley any pre planning. Very good for solo travellers and people who are unsure of where to go/haven’t done a lot of research.

Great experience!
Traveling New Zealand with the Kiwi Bus was the perfect option for me. I was traveling by myself which is why I didn’t rent a car and I only had one month in New Zealand. I wanted to see as much as possible of the country in this one month which I definitely did and at the same time I met many great people. The driver guides were really nice and funny and it was great to get some inside information about the places we were driving through and staying at. It really felt like they wanted us to have the best time!

Okay!
Definitely found this a good way to get round New Zealand and see the essential spots. There are a few pointless stops where it feels like Kiwi are just trying to get you to spend money on as many activities as possible without actually getting to explore the places you’re in. The mix of drivers is also a little frustrating - some have been incredible whilst others have made us feel like they didn’t want to be there which is a bit of a shame. The main issue has to be how booked out the whole thing is though - I know it’s summer but it seems wrong to describe it as a hop on hop off service when you have to book buses weeks in advance if you want extra nights anywhere. So many times me and people I’ve met have wanted to change plans but been told it’s impossible, so we haven’t been able to spend as long as we liked doing the buses. I probably wouldn’t do the bus again, but it has been a good and cheap way to get around; it can just feel a little like a sub par school trip sometimes.

Fun and simple
Kiwi Experience was recommended to me by my friend who traveled with you a few years back and if someone would ask me I would recommend you as well. After some weeks of traveling and planning all on my own it was really nice to basically just get on the bus and go along with it.

Great people - Beautiful country
My friend and I were slightly apprehensive before starting our Kiwi trip as we're 25 & 26 and had heard it was a lot of immature 18 year olds. We were often some of the oldest, but we really didn't notice most of the time and everyone we met were great and everyone of all ages 18 - 35 hanging out. We hoped off the bus a couple of times to go to Nelson and then hired a car to go to Mount Cook, Arthurs Pass and Akaroa... The flexibility of the ticket is great as we jumped back onto the bus route after both trips. Our main drivers were great! Arias (super informative and can tell has a real passion for the country.... and fit) and Cuddles (also super informative.. and absolutely hilarious )
