Great NZ Experience

I bought this Kiwi Bus ticket very spontanously, when having a chat with someone of PeterPans. I really enjoyed that they took over so much of my planning (hostels, booking you into activities, etc.), so I didn´t had to spend too much time on organisational stuff. On one side I really enjoyed the stops we had, when travelling from one place to another, for example to have a beautiful walk or just a photo stop. But on the other side, some of the cafe-stops were just too much. Especially when we extended the break and didn´t left at the agreed time. So it was a bit annoying that, through all these breaks, the travel time was way longer than necessary. I didn´t liked when I only had a few hours in the afternoon/evening at some places, because we arrived that late and left the next morning again. So i definitly recommend to stay longer at some places (e.g. Wanaka, Dunedin) and to check which accomodation you will stay at. Often it´s worth it to book another accomodation yourself (for example YHA, instead of staying at the guaranteed hostels). Another thing I wanna mention is that I was sometimes really annoyed of the bad conditions of the busses (especially at the deep south). Also I didnt´t liked when some bus drivers let themselves get distracted or used there mobile phones while driving. But generally the bus drivers were all very friendly and a great help. Often they told us really interesting stories and facts. I think that Kiwi Experience is especially a good option for people that are only for a few weeks in NZ and for people that are travelling alone.

Awesome Time!

I am really happy that I decided to travel with Kiwi Experience. I made good friends and great memories. The way Kiwi works give you a lot of possibilities to plan your journey and I saved some bugs by booking activities with Kiwi. The drivers make every drive special, their humor is great and they know a lot about the country and the people in NZ. The only thing I didn't like was that you always pay more money for hostels by booking with Kiwi than you pay by pre-booking the same rooms. Thanks for this great time. I would do it again!

Epic from start to finish

Class bus drivers, unbelievable scenery, made great friends and had some seriously memorable times! Not forgetting the 600+ pictures I took!

Good time!

I went on the Kiwi experience last month and it was great. I only had two drivers as my time was limited. Our first driver wasn’t so great/friendly, but our second, Bods, was the best! super helpful and friendly. Great way to get around New Zeland. Seeing as I only had a little time, I didn’t feel like I had enough time to experience and absorb too much local culture. I would recommend spending more time in each place if you can. But the kiwi xperiencennade travenlingbNZ super easy and continent!

Just a bus service

I started my tour in Queenstown and have been traveling northbound. Don't get me wrong New Zealand is a beautiful country and the Kiwi busses are comfy and the drivers are great, but all you're paying for is basically a bus service. Granted they help you book accommodations/activities, but this is a lazy way to travel. If you want to stay longer (and you should! You need way more time than the minimum time prescribed- the '21+ day trip', means you need way more or you'll be stuck on a bus everyday!) you need to book your own accommodations anyways. It's a lot of money for what it is. But that's not my grievance with kiwi experience. Forget getting any help from the office! They're all new, don't know anything about the trip, make loads of mistakes and are infuriating on the phone! I'm pretty easy going, but every time I get off the phone with them I am angry and frustrated. They need people who know the trip to be able to help with bookings ! ALSO!!! YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE FERRY (POTENTIALLY BOTH WAYS)!

Northern Roundup

Buses clean, pretty comfortable and drivers friendly and helpful. Having the activities and accommodation sorted makes for very lazy travel.

It was an excellent experience, the best trip

Loved the trip and had a blast meeting all the people on it! I'd say that I loved Queenstown the best as it was such a beautiful city with so many things to do. Wanaka was also wonderful and like Queenstown but less busy which was nice.

We’re coming back!

What an amazing time! We did the Northern round up with the bay of islands add on and thoroughly enjoyed every day. We only had 3 weeks so we didn’t feel we had enough time to see both islands and didn’t want to rush. The drivers we had were great and there were so many fun activities to do, there was never a dull moment!
