Amazing experience!
I bought the ticket to see as much of the south island in the shortest time possible. I did exactly that and made friends for life on the trip - had so much fun!!

Good experience
I started this trip in August and am really happy I have taken my time with it - I'm just coming to the end now in October. I knew people that did it all on minimum, and they hardly got to see anything and spent nearly every day on the bus, so definitely do this only if you are able to hop off! Generally people have been friendly and hostels have been nice. Buses an excellent method of transport and it's nice how they plan good stops en route.

Good experience
I had 2 drivers and both had good knowledge of the place we were. Good travel mates too.

Brilliant Experience
Myself and my two friends started our trip on the the 17th of September from Auckland. From previous experience on bus trips we were a bit apprehensive about how the whole 4 weeks would plan out. Our driver was lovely and provided us with loads of information as we made our way to hot water beach. From day one I could already see myself enjoying the time spent on the bus. In fact, all three of us looked forward to getting on the bus for long journeys as it was a time for us to relax and unwind from all the thrilling activities New Zealand had to offer. All in all we had 5 bus drivers in total and each one of them were fantastic. James was one of our drivers which we had for most of the journey from Auckland down to Christchurch and we got on really well with him. He entertained us along the way with some of his fascinating jokes to say the least ha. Not only was the kiwi bus a lovely way to travel we met a great bunch of people along the way. As many travellers were doing the same route we all got very close (our little kiwi fam). Our small group of three slowly became bigger. The worst part about the kiwi experience is that it has to come to an end at some point and you have to move on and leave the great people you met along the way. I would highly recommend the kiwi bus for sure.

Cracking
I bought this last year and I am so glad I did it! I met some amazing people and visited some epic places. Though I am a bit gutted that the weather was not as hot as I had hoped it would have been, as many of the activities and hostels benefit from nice weather, I still had an awesome time!

What an experienced
Having had so many friends do the kiwi experience before me, it was a no brainer when it came to deciding how I was going to travel round NZ. It was exactly how I expected it to be - choc full of activities and new friends. It takes all the thinking out of your travels and has everything arranged for you. My bus drivers Amanda and Jarred were AMAZING and really made the trip. Amanda was so sweet and lovely, and Jarred was so funny and honest that we all trusted his judgement on the activities/accommodation/food places. Oh and he played bus games which were such a good addition. Will definitely be recommending it to all my friends!

Great way to explore NZ
Had a great time with Cowboy, our bus driver. Nice way to see the interesting spots without the hassle to plan how to get there.
