One of my travelling highlights
Me and a mate chose the 'South and Sound' Kiwi Ex tour - with 2 weeks to travel the South Island. What a 2 weeks we had! I came to NZ with few expectations and was frankly blown away by the amount of fun we had. After a couple of days our bus had a great sociable vibe, some of the people I met I continued to stay in touch with and see throughout my travels. In particular the stretch that included Lake Mahinapua, Franz Josef, Wanaka (make sure you brave Roy's Peak) and Queenstown was pretty memorable. The scenery on some of the journeys was nothing short of spectacular, making the long bus rides actually quite enjoyable! Our driver Q was also very knowledgeable about the history of each place we visited. The journey stops could have been made shorter, but that didn't hinder the trip. I'd say the only drawback is costs for a backpacker - be prepared to spend some serious money if you want to do most of the activities on offer. However things like dolphin swimming, the Canyon Swing, Glacier Hike, Sky Dive, Milford Sound etc are once-in-lifetime opportunities! No regrets on any of them. Some of the hostels can also be on the steep side for the standard of accommodation. Overall though - choosing to travel New Zealand with Kiwi Experience was one of the best decisions I made travelling. My only regret is not having more time in New Zealand, a month would've been perfect to travel the South and North Island properly. I'll 1000% be back NZ!

Loved Kiwi Ex
I loved my time with kiwi ex (I had the whole kit pass). Being able to get around NZ and see everything I wanted to see was amazing. Definitely would recommend. The activities I did I throughly enjoyed including horse riding with Dart River, Stargazing with earth and sky and so many more.

Great way to see New Zealand
Last minute decision to go to New Zealand. I booked the 14 day north and south island pass. Its a great way to see so much in a short space of time, with lots of activities all the way.

cushioned and clean
nice cute kitchen with everything you need. nice bed with heaps of linen provided. however toilet cassette requires some work to empty and the bathroom smell is hard to get rid of. hot showers have to be short as water takes long to heat. Lots of storage.

Great way to see the country with small children
We drove all around the lower south island with a 3 year old and 1 year old. It was an amazing way to see the country without having to unpack and repack everyday. We had a lot of trouble installing our carseats safely as they had to sit on squabs which moved. We had to get a rope to tie the seats down to stop them moving. We weren't told that it was recommended to stay at a powered site the first night to make sure the battery is fully charged (which it should be anyway at pick up). We freedom camped and our desiel heater failed at 2.30am when the battery completely drained. Not ideal in -1degree temperatures with small children. The battery ended up getting replaced the next day and the customer service from everyone was excellent. Once we got settled in we absolutely loved our home on wheels. The Road user charge wasn't explained properly at pick up so we spent a bit of time worrying about how to pay it before I called up and asked. Overall it was a wonderful experience, with a couple of holes in customer service but easily rectified. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back again.

Great trip
The trip was great but the icing on the cake was the driver, Dylan, Dyls, Dyledge. He was amazing, very attentive and informative. Couldn't do enough to help us have a good time. 10/10
