Trip of a lifetime!

Hands down one of the best things I've ever done! When I first got on the bus at Queenstown the bus was a bit quiet, but as we moved on it just got better and better. Once I got to Auckland and started heading back down with Simon the legend as a driver, it was incredible. We had a great group and he was so funny and helpful the whole time, it was like the bus was one big family. I made so many friends on this trip, and shared so many memories I will never forget. Absolutely gutted now I've finished, if I had enough money I'd stay on it forever!

Amazing time

It was a great experience to travel with the kiwi bus because you meet so much great people everyday and the kiwi crew makes it as easy as possible for you to manage everything. They book the hostels, activities and help you with every problem you could have. Also the stops at hidden places during the bus drives are amazing. I would definitely reccomend it to everyone!

Best holiday ever

I'm very glad I did the tour with Kiwi. The organization was very easy. You don't have to worry about your next hostel or any extra activites. You can book all on the bus. Besides, I met a lot of lovely people on the bus and we became real friends and had some good adventures.

Great Sized Camper for two. Easy to drive.

We travelled the whole of NZ one way in a camper which was a wonderful experience. Well set up camper, all the basic comforts supplied and great size to manoeuvre and wonderful cause we could both stand up in it.... we are both around 6'2". We had a flat tyre at one point in the trip and they were so easy to deal with on the phone getting us sorted and back on the road within 1.5 hrs. Quick easy return process. Thank you for contributing to our wonderful holiday.

Freedom to roam

Took a 6 berth camper for 2 of us so glad we did so roomy! Permanent double bed was comfy and saved time. Loved the Bluetooth. Loved the cruise control and reversing camera. Smooth ride and freedom camping using camper mate and Google in the most amazing places.

New Zealand is beautiful and I wish we had more time. The Kiwi experience was a great chance to meet like minded people and have a lot of fun whilst learning about this beautiful country.

Alright experience

We were a bit apprehensive about starting the Kiwi experience as we didn't know what to expect at all and didn't really understand how it worked, wish we could have been given some more information. We did it on minimum time as we were told the trip we did would take 16 days, we weren't told that you would want longer than this to actually get the most out of each place, however this was our travel agents fault as well because they told us about Kiwi and booked us on it. It actually turned out to be really good and the bus drivers were really nice and helpful. There are lots of good activities on offer. The hostels could be a bit better and cheaper but you are able to find your own if you want. We had an issue in Queenstown regarding getting back on the bus where only 2 of us were booked on, even though we had email evidence stating 3 of us want to be booked on that particular bus. This did mess up our trip and sort of ruin it because we had to find other transport to travel on that same day and Kiwi would not refund us for that. Anyway, overall it was good, it was just a shame about the booking problem towards the end of the trip.

Good option to discover NZ!

I am traveling with Kiwi for a few weeks now and I figured out the up and downsides so far. An absolute advantage is the fact that you can get in contact with a lot of traveller's in NZ and that you really can become a team, as you got the same aims and destination and you spend a lot of time with them. Also the fact, that you can stay for longer at a certain place, switch buses etc. is really cool and makes everything really flexible. You also have the option for a free bed at the hostels of the partners of Kiwi - so you never have to be afraid of having no bed a night. If you choose not to spend your night in the provided places, you also got the possibility to book yourself another place. An disadvantage is, that there are only a few buses running at the winter times and so you can either stay for example for 1 or 3 nights at a place. When you are traveling with a time limit you will spend a lot of time in the bus, as there are long distances between the stops and the bus is unfortunately not running on nighttime and as I have mentioned already, not every day, so you are loosing days of travel. So far everybody from the company was friendly and helpful and for my kind of trip it's been the best option to travel NZ.
