Good but not much freedom
The people and places were great but you sometimes don’t know you want to stay longer in a place until you get there or you want to go a day earlier due to weather and they don’t accommodate that

One of the best trips.
I think the kiwi tour is the best way to travel round NZ. You see all the major beautiful sights. The only slight con is you spend a lot of time on the bus however I understand you have to spend time on the bus to get to places.

Amazing trip but could make a few tweaks
The social side is the real highlight for me! You meet a lot of people and there are so many opportunities to hang out. You will end up spending lots of money as the activities aren't cheap and it's hard to book your own as the wifi isn't great. Sometimes the drivers are young and unprofessional e.g. refusing to help you past 5pm when they have their 'time off'. Also if you're looking for total flexibility it's probably not for you - you have to book the buses days in advance so not strictly 'hop on hop off'. Ithink in terms of value for money though it's incredible!

Trip of a lifetime!
Kiwi experience created a trip for me that was better then I ever could have expected. Met awesome people and did the coolest activities!

The kiwi bus experience is awesome. All drivers, but for one (dave) were very nice and extremely helpfull and informative.

A great way to see New Zealand
I would recommend kiwi experience to others but I think more information should be provided about the standby by issue and where to spend extra days. I had some great drivers but some were a bit unhelpful. It’s a great way to meet people if you’re a solo traveller but just make sure you organise your itinerary early if you have a limited amount of time. I’d recommend flying to Auckland and finishing in Christchurch rather than returning to Auckland.

Memory of a lifetime
Going through the South Island with kiwiexperience was the best thing I ever done. It wasn’t just going to the places that you booked your bus, it was many small stops along the way. I absolutely loved it! I saw so much, got to know so many people and had the best time of my life! I would recommend everyone I know to do this. You won’t regret it.
