Awesome way to discover NZ!
Kiwi Experience was the perfect way to travel throughout the country in comfort and covering all the must-sees and must-dos. Funny and experienced drivers, comfy buses, great varieties in activities being offered and some special extras you wouldn't do travelling on your own or with a car. Excellent times! :)

KIWI EXPERIENCE = MAXIMUM FUN W MINIMAL EFFORT
I loved my time on the Kiwi bus. Didn’t plan my trip ahead but travelling with Kiwi was so easy that I didn’t have much to worry. My drivers Hamish and Cowboy were absolutely amazing — both were incredibly helpful and heaps of fun to be around. Places like the Tamaki Village, River Valley and Lake Mahinapua provided an amazing atmosphere for everyone to get to know each other better. I’ve had a blasting making new friends !! Overall a wonderful experience with Kiwi despite the horrendous clipboards.

An amazing way to see New Zealand
I had a great time on the kiwi experience, making new friends and seeing sights I did not know could be so beautiful. Kiwi have a really good way of showing you spots along the way so you really can fit in more than you would yourself in a shorter period of time. There really is something for everyone - partying, relaxing, hiking, swimming, to falling out of a plane! It’s an experience I will never forget and cherish greatly!

Best trip ever
I bought the ticket since I was traveling alone and didn't want to buy a car. It was the best decision I could've made! I met so many awesome people, had so many unforgettable nights and saw so many amazing places. The best part about it (which I realised afterwards on a second roadtrip round NZ) is the commentary and information about the people, culture and places you visit! The legends they have as busdrivers are hilarious and told me much of what I have learnt to love about New Zealand!

Would really recommend as solo traveller
I did southern round up and Milford sound. Great and safe way to get around South Island, lots of opportunities to see loads of places and meet some great people!! I was on almost minimum time so was with the same driver Hamish, and he was great! Really friendly and so knowledgeable about the whole country!! Felt safe the whole way even though roads are dangerous! Our bus was full of a variety of people, from 18-40s and mix of groups and personalities so you could fit in where you wanted! Cracking group of people made loads of friends :) accommodation provided is ok and perfectly sufficient but doesn't hurt to look around a bit as you can get cheaper hostels than what is offered. Kaiteri Lodge wasn't great either, kitchen was very cramped, no internet unless pay and you get allocated cutlery which you have to return and seems excessive. If there was another hostel might be worth looking into. Good deals on activities with choice of doing them or your own thing. Would say certain places like Abel Tasman if you want to go in the national park you need to spend an extra day there, as is the same for some other places like Wanaka and mt cook, so worth having at least an extra few days spare to hop off. Otherwise some places you literally spend an evening then leave early morning so don't see the place itself! Only problem I had was with the deal with mt cook connections who were quite difficult with booking and including the kiwi ex discount, and even then it would have only been a dollar! That wasn't kiwi ex's fault but something to clarify with them in future. Overall so glad I used kiwi ex, organised so well and would never have seen and learned as much as I did without them! And most importantly of course met some stunning people who will be friends for a long time! Thank you!!!
