Great experience
Campervan holidays in NZ is one of the best ways to spend your holidays. As a european you enjoy the breathtaking scenery, especially on the South Island! And the Kiwis are definitley friendly wich makes travelling very easy.

Appreciated the relocation deal - felt it was a fair deal. A few things would have improved the experience - in Christchurch, the agent removing the electric wire before we set off (you expect a vehicle to be ready to go without any changes) & being told the vehicle is in MPH, not KPH would have been helpful (I would be grumpier about this if caught for speeding!), getting to Picton & discovering the company had only booked the driver and not the van itself onto a full ferry gave a bit of extra unneeded stress, but aside from that, things were good. Would use Britz again.

Awesome company, Staff and Vehicle
Hired a 6 berth camper (vw) for my wife and two young kids for nine nights in the South Island . It was just amazing , the camper was powerful but economical . There was plenty of room for all of us. There was ample linen, cutlery and cooking utensils . The diesel heater was great for the Coke nights . Everything on the camper worked perfectly! Upon pickup in Chch it was noted that the fridge was not operational, a new one was installed within an hour! The staff at the branch were very professional and helpful even giving us a free soft toy to our 2 year ok daughter . I cannot say enough good things about the great staff at the branch . Thank you so much for the best holiday ever.

Perfect fit
I hired the campervan for a week. It was a great drive and the size was perfect for me. It came together well and the facilities were excellent

The only way to do it
The second time we've been fortunate enough to "campervan" NZ, & even better than the first time. Kiwis invariably warm & welcoming, scenery incredible. The relaxed approach of just about all Kiwis just adds to the holiday experience.

Friendly service
Our flight into Auckland was late and so we were panicking as to whether we would make it to the Britz office before they closed. We made it with 5 minutes to spare and, while this meant that the manager and a member of staff had to stay back to complete the rental procedure, they were extremely calm, polite and unruffled throughout the process. The campervans were clean and well-equipped which made our holiday more relaxing.

Kiwi Trip in the Maui
We had a terrific time traveling around NZ in the Maui Mecedes, it was very comfortable and very good on diesel and the price over there on diesel is very cheap around .86 to 1.06 per litre. We had hired one before to travel around Tasmania so we were familiar with motorhomes and we have a caravan at home. The camp sites we could stay at because of the motorhome being self contained gave us a lot of freedom, from free sites to low cost and we also stayed in paid parks a couple of times as well. Depending on where we were or if we didn't like the free one. Our only real disappointment was not having BBQ on board we saw lots of other campers with them, I should have checked before hand, they also forgot to give us doonas, we only had light blankets and we were a bit cold some nights. We popped into the Auckland Maui site to change some linen and mentioned that and they gave us another blanket and clean sheets and towels but did not check with us if there were doonas on board which we didn't realise should have been until we dropped it off at Christ Church and they were so apologetic but it was all a bit late then. The person doing the checklist on our motorhome really slipped up as we had to ask for the picnic table and the tourism radio, my husband noticed that they weren't in the vehicle, and we had ordered those items.

Great Experence on Campervan
I booked the Campervan for New Zealand's trip at peak season (Christmas period). This is our first time to travel by Campervan. Very great and special experience. We were very excited. The Campervan liked a house that you can sleep at the camping site everywhere in NZ. The view is perfect. We liked this trip style.
