ok, really depends on the driver
We did it a month ago and it was a good way to get around but not as flexible as we thought. As it was high season we needed to book all the transports in advance.

Efficient way to explore NZ
The Kiwi bus is great, you don't have to worry about any transportation, activities are suggested daily and you are guarantied accommodations every night.

Very nice experience
I had a really good time with Kiwi Experience and it met all my expectations. I travelled solo and met a lot of nice people while traveling to amazing places I wanted to visit. The trip included some nice walks and stops in important places. You could also choose among various optional activities. It was exactly the way I wanted to visit New Zealand: no stress about driving from one place to other, good company, great activities, wonderful places. In every place we stopped overnight we had a space guaranteed in a dormitory room, with no need to book in advance. You could spend more nights in one place, but the other nights ar your responsibility. The "Hop on Hop off" system offers the possibility to stay in a place as long as you like (as long as you have a bus booked in advance). We also did "food" stops along the way whenever possible. It was a great experience and would recommend it to everyone who wants to explore New Zealand.

Amazing adventure!
I climbed onto the first bus with no expectations and was very happily surprised by an incredible two weeks of travel. The people were wonderful, places breathtaking and whole experience fun, easy and enjoyable.

Best way to travel New Zealand!!!!
We had some really nice bus drivers. Very handy way of traveling, especially being guaranteed a hostel at the arrival of your destination. They stop at some really cool places, give you lot's of information. I would really recommend taking the Kiwi Bus while traveling true New Zealand!!

Only the greatest thing I've ever done!
I've always wanted to visit New Zealand. I decided to head over and visit my brother who is living in Auckland. He told me about Kiwi Experience, slightly apprehensive about not knowing anyone on the tour, I forced myself to register. I'm so glad I did! Within an hour I'd made so many friends who I was sat with in the incredible 'hot tubs' of Hot Water Beach that evening! From glow worms to the Mauri experience, where the rest of the group decided to name me 'Chief Ed' after volunteering to act as their chief, I had the most incredible time. I have so much to thank Kiwi Experience for! From Dylan's NZ sense of humour to the hidden gems that the tour allowed me to see, this really is up there! I haven't stop raving about you guys to friends since being back. Thank you so much! I'll be back to see the South Island very soon!!

Very well guided trip
Easy way of travelling. Sometimes too much feeling like a school excursion. A lot of great experiences: Fun adventures as well as amazing nature

Good experience
Kiwi experience was a good way for travelling around. But it wasn't that easy to "hopp on, hopp off", like they advertise. You really had to plan your trip in advance. Moreover some bus drivers aren't really helpful. But otherwise it is a really comfortable way to travel, since they pick you up and drop you off in front of your hostel, make supermarket stops etc.

The fast way to see New Zealand
Nice trip, you get to see nearly everything that New Zealand offers. The bus concept is sometimes a bit confusing and activities are very expensive, but that's just how New Zealand is.
