Kiwi bus
I travelled on the kiwi bus for a month at the start of the year. It was a very fun and well organised trip and I made some friends for life.

Unbelievable, incredible time
I had the whole kit and caboodle pass so I went pretty much everywhere. Loved every minute. South island is incredible. Made amazing friends and had great drivers. Never a dull moment!

Great way to see New Zealand!
I travelled with my boyfriend for 4 months and we wanted to hire a campervan for New Zealand but was persuaded by STA to buy a kiwi buss pass. At the time we wasn't sure what to think as we thought it was just a bus pass (like greyhound in oz) but knew we would save money with it rather than a camper. So when we arrived in NZ and started the tour. On day one, already this had met so much more than our expectations! The bus drivers are so much fun as well as super helpful! They take you to the place you are staying at as well as stops on the way to New Zealand's must dos and also hidden treasures. They pass around clipboards to hold you accommodation and trips and activities at a discounted rate! This was incredible- it really felt like you could go with the flow and enjoy everything. Took the stress out of travelling when looking for hostels and deals! Also my favourite thing about this experience was the friends we made. You find yourself with a group of people on the same route so you spend time with them every day and do these amazing adventures together and form the best friendships. We've already met up with a group of friends we made on the kiwi bus from several different countries since being back from our travels! New Zealand was our favourite country we travelled to. Such a stunning country with so many exciting activities! We saw so much of it and more than we could have in a camper! Thank you kiwi bus for the memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. You've been epic!

Friendly if unorganised experienxe
Enjoyed my time on the bus, but getting a straight answer from the office as to what bus I was on and having it organised was a mess. Often having to wait 20 minutes to speak to skmeone

Incredible experience
My best friend and I had the time of our lives! Wouldn't have been possible without the incredible organisation of the kiwi experience.

Perfect way to see New Zealand quickly
This was a once in a life time opportunity and kiwi made it possible!! If your laid back but have a plan then kiwi can work well. I was glad to go in low season as standby could be a worry but if you plan in advance you should be fine Definitely don't do minimum time. For example you get into Wellington about 6pm and leave by 7am so you won't get a chance to see much apart from the hostel!! Budget and spend money on what you want. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity so don't go with no money as you'll spend the whole time complaining!!

Definitely worthwhile to book with Kiwi!
As a solo and inexperienced traveller, I found it really useful to book onto the Kiwi Experience pass. I met alot of people and had a rough itinerary which was a great start for my trip. Along the way, I got to see sights that i otherwise would not have seen and got to know more about the country.

Great idea, fine execution
I fell in love with New Zealand as a result of this trip, however, I felt that Kiwi could have done a better job. The majority of the trip was spent sitting on an old bus, which did not have air conditioning. I requested to switch and was not accommodated. Also, although New Zealand has a lot of scenery, I think there could have been better ways to experience the scenery other than sitting on a nauseating bus for the entire day, while taking photos through a window or a 30-second photo stop. Additionally, the hostels were expectedly not very clean, but the cost of a Kiwi Experience tour was unproportionally high as compared to the cheap coats of the hostels. Lastly, the stops for food were absolutely appalling. I don't recall ever eating a proper lunch. I also did not enjoy picking up snacks and coffee from a literal gas station. Overall, I had a good experience on Kiwi, but I would consider doing another tour in the future.

Best days of my life
Kiwi experience is the ONLY way to travel NZ. Our driver (Rob) was incredible and made the trip for me, his knowledge and love for the country was unrivalled. I made so many lifelong friends and can't wait to return soon!
