Great couple of months travelling New Zealand!
Travelled with my girlfriend on the whole kit and caboodle pass, which I would thoroughly recommend to anyone thinking of heading to NZ for a couple of months at least. A great way to see the country and meet a ton of like minded and friendly people from all over the world. Personal highlights - heli hike on Franz Josef glacier, skydiving at Franz Josef glacier, Lake Tekapo stargazing, 'Black abyss' Blackwater rafting in Waitomo, Stewart island and the Catlins. A few suggested improvements to KiwiExperience directly; Firstly - provide 'recommended itineraries' to your customers. As it stands, the process guarantees hostel beds only if you're on the minimum duration travel route. Why not suggest longer duration routes with guaranteed beds/bus seats that customers could select prior to travel? You could easily put a few fixed date itineraries in your brochure that would make life so much easier for people when they actually start the trip. For example, to go alongside the 'minimum' duration itinerary a 'Minimum +1' itinerary could guarantee a bed and bus seat for an extra night in each stop. Or a 'Minimum +3' would guarantee three extra nights. You get the idea. This would provide peace of mind for anyone on the trip that wants to spend more than just one night in each place that they definitely have a bed and definitely have a bus seat for specific days of travel. This also means while travelling you don't have to deal with the stress of booking for weeks ahead in your itinerary or panicking when there's no beds available anywhere in the town the bus stays in (looking at you Paihia). Furthermore this would also mean less expensive and repetitive calls to the office asking for bus availability and requesting itinerary changes when they realise they have nowhere to stay on specific dates because the entire town supply of hostel beds is full. If they decide that they don't want to be on the pre-selected itinerary any more they could easily cancel it and return to the original 'Minimum duration' trip. This would be perfect for: -Anyone travelling in peak season who has never been to NZ before -Anyone who knows they want to spend more than just the minimum time on their trip -Anyone who doesn't want the stress of booking hostels and bus seats ahead of time -Anyone that doesn't want to risk having to sleep on the beach in Paihia because they didn't realise just how busy it would be and just how few hostel beds would be available when they decided to change their itinerary on the first day of the trip coming out of Auckland because nobody warned them in advance *cough*cheers STA travel *cough*. Secondly - Make an app that you can book hostel beds and bus seats with. I couldn't tell you how many times I and those around me called the office asking for bus availability for specific dates, which must have cost a bloody fortune in international calls (yes I know it's free from NZ payphones, but you don't have a payphone when you're mid bus journey and trying to sort your trip out for the immediate future). Make an app that customers can select days when they want to travel and they get put into a queue system. When the queue reaches 0 because people have changed itineraries and given up their seats on the bus, the person at the top of the queue gets a notification on their phone asking them if they want to proceed with their chosen selection. Bam - their itinerary is changed and they are no longer spending just one night in hot water beach or three nights in Queenstown. It would really make things so much easier. Thirdly - sort out the wifi on the buses. It's 2017. I'm sure you've got enough resources and money to give your travellers decent internet speeds and more than one user at a time on the connection. Aside from these three criticisms - I couldn't recommend KiwiExperience enough. Truly the best way to see the entirety of the country, meet loads of people from around the world and have a great time doing so. Many adventures were had and many memories were made. Cheers - Kia Ora.

Highly recommend
I bought the whole kit & caboodle about 10 months ago & travelled in Feburary for about 5 weeks. Got to see so many things I didn't even know existed, every day was an adventure. Couldn't of asked for a better first solo trip

F**king Incredible
I bought my ticket three days before I got to New Zealand and I can't imagine doing it any other way! You get to see some amazing scenery while making some friends of a lifetime. Wouldn't trade my trip for anything else!

The Best way to see NZ in a short time!
I booked my Ticket for the bus in a special offer 6 weeks before departure. I was really excited. The first thing I remember was the friendly, helpfully bus driver. The other guys in the bus are awesome. It's perfect that the bus stops sometimes at the supermarkets. During a ling drive are some little breaks to get fresh air and walk a bit. It's so easy to travel with Kiwi Experience too! You don't have to book a hostel by yourself and if you wanna Do one of the amazing activities you can easily book it over your driver! I loved it!

Good experience
Had a great time on my trip, met some amazing people and didn't have to arrange hardly anything. Did find there were some stops that were not necessary and people were mis informed if they thought they could see places on minimum time, almost everywhere needed 2 nights! I would skip Westport out definitely and there is no need to make us all go into AJ Hackett when we know we aren't doing a jump! Also the Deep South was great but Dunedin needed longer to explore and Invercargill I would have skipped! Downside to the kiwi bus is the clicky groups that form and aren't necessary!

Best of both islands
We did the kiwi experience for 25 days and it is by far the best way to see the country. Best of both islands. You can choose to travel with friends or without. Amazing.

Great Experience
The kiwi experience was one of my most favourite things I've done whilst travelling! I got to see so many beautiful places in New Zealand, with people I had never met, but who are now friends for life!
