Perfect for solo backpackers
I’m really glad I did the kiwi experience to travel round the north and south islands. It’s a really social bus so it was perfect as a solo backpacker, you can’t help but make friends and everyone was so genuine and nice. The bus drivers are always on hand to give advice and help you get the best route so don’t worry about having too much pre organised. There’s a few things that are more restrictive/annoying (eg forced fancy dress party and more expensive hostels in some spots) but these aren’t inconvenient enough to put you off. Overall I had a great experience and miss it already! (PS if you have Gina as your bus driver then you’ve hit the jackpot)

What an awesome country
So happy I finally managed to hit up this beautiful country. Kiwi Experience made it even better as they take the hassle out of travelling and lets you enjoy your time in NZ. I met so many likeminded people, made some lifelong friends & did some activities that I never thought was possible

Best 2 months in NZ!
I travelled for 2 months with the kiwiexperience and had an amazing time; it made travelling NZ really easy, as you could book hostels and activities through them. I would definitely recommend it for a first time solo traveller as it can be extremely daunting going it alone to start with, but sometimes the specific schedule each day that you had to followe made it hard if you wanted more freedom and flexibility. Luckily I didn’t travel during peak time, so it wasn’t too hard to adjust my plans if I wanted to somewhere longer or do different activities etc. However I heard from others that when travelling in the summer months it’s best to plan in advance as you can get put on standby, which isn’t the best if you want to be more flexible with your travel plans. Overall I found it a great way to make friends along the way and it made my experience in NZ a really enjoyable one.

Was awesome !! Sweet as ..
I did the kiwi experience in April and it was the best part of my 4 month travels!! Not only are all the bus drivers amazing and so friendly, the people you meet on the bus also make the experience one of a kind and I have met some friends for life!! S/o to josh and heli for being the best drivers :)

Best experience of my life
I bought the whole kit and caboodle not knowing what to expect. I got on the bus and the adventure began, all fellow travellers were so friendly and became a kiwi bus family. Bus drivers were more than helpful they helped me organise my itinerary as I had a lot of time to spend. Drivers also made booking activities and accommodation very easy and quick. Also the office were very fast to respond and helpful when I wanted to change my itinerary and stay in a place longer than expected. Bus was so much party every night and activities everyday would definitely do it again. So much fun all day everyday

Great time, great place
Loved the trip. Met some great people and saw some beautiful places. Booking accommodation and activities was easy and I had diesel as a driver the whole way who was awesome. Some of the stops were a bit pointless but all in all I had an amazing time.
