Providing the ultimate hop-on hop-off adventure for over 30 years, Kiwi Experience takes you to all the iconic spots. It helps you to book the most epic activities and accommodations throughout the country.
1. CHOOSE YOUR PASS
To choose your perfect pass, decide what you want to tick off your New Zealand bucket list and how long you want to travel.
2. CUSTOMIZE YOUR ADVENTURE
There are so many ways to do New Zealand! But only one way to do it your way. To start planning your trip, login into the Trip Planner (your unique login details will be in your booking confirmation), and use the Bus Timetables to help you book your buses. Plan and pre-book your buses if you are travelling over the summer (December – March). Seats are always subject to availability.
3. BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATION
To allow for ultimate flexibility, accommodation is not included in the price of your bus pass. The Trip Planner makes it simple to pre-book and pay for your accommodation while travelling on the bus. You'll need to book your accommodation at least 48 hours in advance, staying longer at a destination than on the bus. Or book your own accommodation outside of Kiwi Experience. Please book your accommodation directly with the hostel for any additional nights spent in a location.
4. BOOK YOUR ACTIVITIES
Once you’ve decided on your itinerary and accommodation, log into your Trip Planner and check out our activities. From whale watching to bungy jumping, surfing to skydiving, no two days are the same when you travel with us across New Zealand. Pre-book via the Trip Panner advance or book as you travel. *Subject to availability, some activities may be impacted by weather conditions.
5. HOP ON THE BUS
Climb aboard the big green bus at your agreed pick-up point and meet your travel crew of like-minded travellers from across the globe. Check out our scheduled pick-up points and timetables.
6. MEET YOUR DRIVER GUIDE
Brimming with local insight and passion for New Zealand, our driver guides will act as your travel wingperson along the journey.
7. EXPERIENCE WHAT YOU WANT WHEN YOU WANT
Our Hop-On-Hop-Off travel network across New Zealand allows you to pre-plan your stops and change your plan as often as you like. All we ask is that you keep our team informed of your goals so we can ensure we’re ready for you! (The team highly recommends that during the summer months, you pre-book all of your buses to avoid missing out on your preferred travel dates. *seats are always subject to availability)
