Absolutely Epic Trip

The kiwi bus is something from another world, so many friendly people and so many memories that I will not forget. You can do anything through the bus from skydive to rafting down white water rapids. The bus is so organised, and so much fun you will never forget it. The bus drivers are absolute legends and will help you sort any problems no big or small. If you are thinking about travelling round New Zealand, the only way to do it is with Kiwi Experience.

Sweeeeeeet assssss

I purchased the whole kit & caboodle pass when it was half price & I've got to say it was worth every penny! I had the best month travelling around NZ with Kiwi. I was nervous before I booked the pass that at 29 I would be the old lady on the bus but I was pleased to find many others my age also travelling. I had travelled the East coast of Oz using a tour bus & they were shocking so I was a bit apprehensive about doing another one in NZ. BUT the Kiwi bus is the most organised bus trip I've ever been on & the stops along the way are fantastic. I personally loved all the quirky hostels (Rainforest retreat/Brazil's hostel & River Valley) & not the chains. The drivers knowledge, information & personalities make the trip- HUGE thank you to Gina B who is just incredible! I loved every minute of the bus with Gina & she was just brilliant, never frazzled by anything, very funny & always had time for you. (I'm sure she'll remember-in a northern accent as we headed towards another mountain- "it's F***ing stunning!!") Great trip, great bus, big love for KiwiExperience THANK YOU

Great way to explore NZ !!!

Kiwi experience were great at getting us from A to B as well as making plenty of scenic stops so nothing was missed !! The guaranteed accommodation made it a stress free experience. A big thanks to the drivers for all their advice and help :)

Good Geo overview with professional drivers/guides

Kiwi bus takes you to almost every corner of NZ knowing you are in safe hands with their very professional drivers, particularly D and D. It is too bad that Kiwi bus is stingy with the availability of the wi-fi and does not go to Abel Tasman National Park as the brochure implies. Once in Keiteri, you have to make your way there on your own. Also, there is no point in spending the night in Lake Mahinapua; it is best to go straight to Franz Joseph to spend the night there and be ready to hike the glacier the next day. Ditto for Westport lest you are winter surfing, at which point is best to drop surfers there and continue to FJoseph. Unfortunately lodging is not their forte other than YMCA, HI, Keiteri Lodge. It would be nicer if they could book single rooms. After my first two dorm experiences, I ended up booking my own. My room in Lake Mahinapua was zero degrees inside. I feel I slept outdoors. Very cold to go to the shower. The winter white rafting destination is also not recommendable, as far as lodging is concerned. The plus is the driver guides and the places you see, but not the bus wifi or its seats, the same applies to the lodging.

Our south island kiwi advendture

We travelled the south island for three weeks and our camper adventure began with a wedding in St Arnauds at Lake Rotioiti. We then headed down the west coast from Nelson, Greymouth, Franz Josef with the ultimate destination of Milford Sounds. Queenstown and Wanaka were standouts for us and so was the weather. Every place we left it snowed the next day! We were blessed with sunshine on a cruise around the Milford. The campervan experience gives you a sense of freedom to travel where we wish allowing for impromptu stops. We discovered the Gibbiston Valley. You even meet new folk which is always fun on holidays. We will be back to do it all again.

Good experience

Kiwi was a great experience for me as a solo traveller, and as a first timer to New Zealand. The drivers are very knowledgeable and super fun. It is a great way to meet people and see the country

Great way to travel with young child

Traveling in a camper van is the best way to travel with young child. You have all amenities in close proximity all the way. You can take as many toilet or snack stops as needed.
