Awesome way to tour New Zealand!
I did the South & Sound loop and had a truly great time! Driver Taane was the best, he shared stories of his Maori culture and created a warm and friendly atmosphere on the bus. If you enjoy meeting people, the Kiwi bus is exciting and easy to ride with - make sure to save up so you can enjoy lots of activities! My absolute highlight was swimming with dolphins in Kaikoura (do the early morning one!). I was unlucky with the weather and even stuck in the country for an extra day due to to floods, but the people I met along the way made this experience fun and the drivers were super helpful in this tricky situation (shout out to Rob!). Bear in mind that the minimum time is a bit rushed, so don't try to cram too much in, better to have a few extra days to play with. I will likely come back for North Island!

More than a Bus
When I bought my ticket for KiwiExperience I was just looking for an opportunity to travel around. I didn't expect what I was about to find and I was positively surprised in many ways. Traveling with KiwiExperience is more than just driving from A to B. It is the chance to find friends with whom you will stay in touch even long after the trip. KiwiExperience becomes like your mum and dad. They will take care of you, help you if you have any problems and celebrate the good time everybody has. Their goal is to make this trip of yours the best time of your life and I admire the passion with which they want to achieve that. For the drivers this isn't just a job, it is a lifestyle and a mentality and you can become a part of that. Thanks for this amazing trip, your guys are great!

Great, especially if you like partying
I think it's a very convenient and affordable option for a solo traveler as myself. However, I didn't realize beforehand that I'll be traveling with a bunch of partying 20-year-olds. Nothing wrong with that, though, just not my thing. I find it very useful that you can subscribe for activities in the bus and don't have to run around figuring out what to do. The driver also shows nice places to go to.

Well organized and great experience
We'd booked for a year ago at a travel agent and it was better than we expected.

Great but bit more info needed!
My experience was great & the drivers were very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. However the company did not provide enough info/clarity that they reserve space for 1 night in each stop at a hostel. That wasn’t clear so I’d booked different hostels & didn’t stay with rest of group which makes it easier for pick up, etc. Some of the drivers have a list of key info/how it works that they wrote so would be good to get & share across whole company. It was really great but I had my ticket on the sale price, I would not have been as happy if it had costed more

Convenient travel through New Zealand
Myself and a group of friends bought the kiwi bus pass for our travels through New Zealand last month. It proved to be a worthwhile investment as we made great connections with others along the way and stopped off at some amazing spots we probably would have otherwise missed if we had opted to do a road trip. The bus is very social so if you are looking to meet people, regardless of whether you are a solo traveler or travelling already as part of a group, the kiwi bus pass will be a great option for you. The drivers are very knowledgeable and helpful in pointing out great things to do and giving advice and tips that will help you along your journey. Further, the kiwi bus reserves places at hostels for all its travellers so nobody goes without a bed for the night; this can be particularly useful in high season where hostess can fill up quick. Also, the clipboards that go around with all the activities in each place prove to be a hassle free way to book into unforgettable experiences on your kiwi adventure. A further note on the buses: if you are travelling in high season (jan/Feb) as part of a larger group (we were a group of 6) be aware that changing your buses and itinerary can be more challenging as the buses tend to be quite full. This just means you are less flexible with the hop on hop off style of travel. That said, myself and my friends thoroughly enjoyed travelling with the kiwi experience and would highly recommend it to others looking for a convenient and easy way to travel around the spectacular country of New Zealand.

So good bus driver and trip
We had Guy as our bus driver and he really made this trip the best one! Making everyone social, coming up with games, knowing everybodies names, telling all this good stories about New Zealand! I really liked all the stops! Except for Westport and I heard Deep south wasn't that good, and Milford Sound was a bit rushed so we did that in a van instead. But all of the other many stops were amazing!! Really good itinerary, a little bit rushed (we did minimal time), in the beginning it was intense and I didn't really knew if I liked doing it so quick. But then you get into it and you learn how to enjoy everything in a higher speed!
